[글로벌 CEO] 티잔 티엄 (Tidjane Thiam) 크레디트 스위스은행 (Credit Suisse) 사설탐정 미행 구설수

크레디트 스위스 은행이 전직 임원 미행으로 구설수에 올랐다.

스위스의 유력 신문인 '노이에 취르허 차이퉁'은 18일 크레디트 스위스가 지난 2월 인사 담당 임원이었던 페터 괴르케를 미행했다며 관련 사진 등을 크게 보도했다.

크레드트 스위스 은행이 미행한 인물은 이발크 칸이다. 이발크 칸은 크레디트 스위스의 임원이었다. 크레디트 스위스 은행은 전직 임원이었던 이크발 칸을 사설탐정을 통해 미행한 것이다. 이크발 칸은 스위스 자산운용 업계의 스타 매니저로 크레디트 스위스에서 빠르게 승진하며 차기 CEO로 꼽히던 인물이었으나, 올 1월 티엄 CEO와 말다툼 후 경쟁사 UBS로 이적설이 나돌았다. .

미행 사실이 알려지면서 크레디트 스위스는 내부 조사를 벌였다. 그 조사에서 피에르 올리비에 부에 최고운영책임자(COO)가 칸에 대한 감시를 지시한 것으로 드러나 책임을 지고 사임했다. 내부 조사팀은 그러나 티엄 CEO는 미행 스캔들과는 관련이 없다는 결론을 내렸다. 스위스 현지에서는 그러나 티엄(Tidjane Thiam) CEO도 미행사건과 무관치 않을 것으로 보는 시각도 있다.
스위스 검찰은 칸에 대한 미행 사건을 수사 중이다.

크레디트 스위스는 스위스 2위 은행이다. 1위 UBS와 2위 크레디트 스위스가 스위스 은행 전체의 50% 이상을 점유하고 있다. 크레디 스위스는 1856년에 설립됐다. 스위스 최대 도시 취리히의 파라데플라츠 광장에 그 본사가 있다.
