프랭클린 템플턴 그룹의 지주회사인 프랭클린 리소시즈는 25일 제니퍼 M. 존슨을 신임 회장 겸 최고경영자(CEO)로 임명했다.
제니퍼 M. 존슨은 캘리포니아대 데이비스 캠퍼스 경제학과를 졸업하고 유펜 금융 스쿨에서 수학했다. (She received her B.A. in economics from the University of California at Davis and is a Graduate of the Stonier School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania.)
제니퍼 M. 존슨의 임기는 2020년 2월 부터 시작된다.
제니퍼 M. 존슨은 1988년 프랭클린 템플턴에 입사해 최근까지 최고운영책임자(COO)를 맡아왔다.
제니퍼 M. 존슨은 프랭클린 템플턴 오너가의 일원이다. 현재의 CEO인 그레고리 E. 존슨 현 CEO와는 남매지간이다.
존슨 CEO는 프랭클린 리소시즈의 이사회 의장을 맡는다.
프랭클린 템플턴은 세계 170여개국에서 자산운용 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
다만 이 회사는 투자 자금 이탈로 주가가 최근 5년 간 절반 수준 이하로 내려앉았다.
지난달 31일 현재 이 회사는 총 6천930억 달러(약 817조원)의 자금을 운용 중이다.

Jennifer M. Johnson is President and Chief Operating Officer at Franklin Resources, Inc., and Executive Vice President at Franklin Templeton Investments. She was named the “E-commerce Executive of the Year” in 2002 by Fund Action.
Ms. Johnson serves as a director of Templeton Global Advisors Limited, Templeton Global Growth Fund Ltd., Fiduciary Trust Company International, Riva Financial Systems Limited, Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Crystal Springs Uplands School, and BizWorld Foundation, and she has been a Member of Advisory Board of Rigel Associates, LLC, and a director of Templeton Global Advisors Limited and Keynote Systems, Inc.
She received her B.A. in economics from the University of California at Davis and is a Graduate of the Stonier School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania.
enny Johnson is president and chief operating officer of Franklin Resources, Inc. Ms. Johnson oversees the majority of investment management and all related investment management support services. She is also responsible for Franklin Templeton's global retail and institutional distribution efforts, including product development. In addition, Ms. Johnson oversees client service, fund administration, global technology, and the company's high net worth business, Fiduciary Trust Company International. She is also a member of Franklin Resources' executive committee, a small group of the company's top leaders responsible for shaping the firm's overall strategy.
Previously, Ms. Johnson held the role of co-president, and prior to that she was the company's chief operating officer. She is an officer of Franklin Resources, Inc. and serves as a director of Fiduciary Trust Company International and several other subsidiaries of Franklin Resources, Inc. She joined the company in 1988.
In 2014, Ms. Johnson was one of ten executives named to Money Management Executive's inaugural list of Top Women in Asset Management and was chosen by her peers as one of Ignites.com's Most Influential Women in Fund Management. Ms. Johnson received the 2012 Robert L. Gould Award presented by global investment management association NICSA, recognizing outstanding achievement in helping the mutual fund industry better serve investors through customer service, thought leadership and technology. In 2010 and 2011, she was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area business.
Ms. Johnson earned her B.A. in economics from the University of California at Davis. She is a board member of Riva Financial Systems. She is also a trustee at Crystal Springs Uplands School, and a board member of the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
